1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Craftgineer ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time.
2. Description of Service
Craftgineer provides AI-powered tools for makers working with CNC machines, 3D printers, laser cutters, and other equipment. The Service operates on a credit-based system where users purchase or earn credits to use premium features.
3. Account Registration
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
- One account per person. Creating multiple accounts to abuse free credits is prohibited.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Credits, Chatbot Messages, and Payments
4.1 Subscription Credits
- Subscription plans include a monthly allocation of credits.
- Subscription credits are granted at the start of each billing period.
- Unused subscription credits do not roll over to the next billing period.
4.2 Purchased Credits (Credit Boost)
- Credit Boost purchases are one-time payments for additional credits.
- Purchased credits do not expire and remain available as long as your account is active and the Service is operational.
- The number of credits received depends on your subscription tier at the time of purchase.
- Purchased credits are non-transferable and have no cash value under normal circumstances.
4.3 Chatbot Messages
- Each subscription tier includes a monthly allocation of chatbot messages.
- Chatbot messages reset at the start of each billing period and do not roll over.
- Free tier users receive a limited number of chatbot messages per month.
4.4 General Payment Terms
- New users receive a one-time grant of free credits upon profile completion.
- All payments are processed securely through Stripe.
- Prices are subject to change with reasonable notice.
5. Service Discontinuation
In the event that Craftgineer discontinues the Service:
- We will provide at least thirty (30) days advance notice to all registered users via email.
- Users will have the notice period to use any remaining credits.
- For purchased credits (Credit Boost) that remain unused at discontinuation, we may, at our sole discretion, offer partial refunds calculated at a rate of $0.10 per unused purchased credit, or a pro-rata refund based on the original purchase price, whichever is less.
- Subscription credits and free credits are not eligible for refunds upon service discontinuation.
- We reserve the right to discontinue the Service at any time for any reason, including but not limited to: business viability, regulatory changes, or technical limitations.
- This discontinuation clause does not create any obligation to continue operating the Service indefinitely.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service
- Upload malicious files or content
- Resell or redistribute the Service without permission
- Use automated tools to abuse the Service (bots, scrapers, etc.)
- Create multiple accounts to obtain additional free credits
- Circumvent any access restrictions or usage limits
7. Your Content and Ownership
You own everything you create. Any files, designs, or content you create using our tools belong entirely to you.
- You retain 100% ownership and all rights to any output generated by our AI tools.
- You are free to use, sell, modify, distribute, or commercialize your creations without restriction.
- No royalties, attribution, or licensing fees are required.
- We claim no ownership or rights to your creations whatsoever.
- The Craftgineer name, logo, and Service design remain our intellectual property.
8. No File Storage
We do not store your files. Your privacy and data ownership are important to us.
- Files are processed in real-time and are not saved to our servers.
- You must download your files immediately after creation.
- Once you leave the page or close your browser, any unsaved work is permanently lost.
- We do not retain copies of your uploads or generated outputs.
- We cannot recover files that were not downloaded.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We do not guarantee that AI-generated recommendations will be accurate, safe, or suitable for your specific use case. Always verify settings before using them with your equipment. We are not responsible for damage to your machines, materials, or projects resulting from use of our recommendations.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CRAFTGINEER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR EQUIPMENT DAMAGE, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Craftgineer and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these terms.
12. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Any unused credits will be forfeited unless termination was in error on our part.
13. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of [Your State/Jurisdiction].
